Patch just arrived in rescue on Friday, January 10th. She is a 7 year old retired breeding female Shih Tzu. She is extremely affectionate little lady. So far, she is getting along with her foster siblings and making herself at home.

Initial insight from foster mom:
Patch is a very sweet little cuddle bug!! She will definitely be a little Velcro dog. She is very shy and timid, but is alert, curious and inquisitive. She is enjoying exploring her new environment. She is doing well working on her potty manners and leash walking. She prefers human interaction over her foster siblings right now. Patch will need a home with new parents who will be very patient and use a soft tone with her. She is very reactive to loud noises whether it be from outside, on the TV, or human voices. At present a household with children is not recommended. She will be the perfect lapdog for someone who works from home or is retired.
