UPDATE 5/27/2025: Lady continues to thrive in her foster home. She is healed from her spay and taking walks daily. She enjoys walking and likes to walk with another dog.
UPDATE: Lady was spayed yesterday (5/13/2025) and is recuperating. She is taking cues from the resident dogs in her foster home. She is unsure of the harness at this time but her foster mom is working with her to get used to wearing one. She is a high energy dog and will need someone who can walk her regularly. She does have some separation anxiety but is learning to settle when foster mom leaves the house for a bit. She will do well in an active home with a fenced yard for extra playtime and quick potty breaks.
Lady is new in rescue. She is a 3 year old, 15 pound Miniature Schnauzer. She was surrendered to our rescue from a hoarding situation. She is very intelligent, active and follows foster mom all around. She seems to have good house manners. She rides well in the car (and on airplanes, she was flown in to her foster home by Pilots N Paws) She has seen the vet and will have her spay scheduled asap.
Schnauzers are great watch dogs. They are intelligent, active dogs who enjoy training. They may not be good apartment dogs as they tend to bark. They do require grooming every 4-6 weeks. Read more about the schnauzer HERE
