Meet Maggie! Maggie comes to us from the shelter in Suffolk. She was on stray hold for 10 days. She was such a mess we took her straight to the vet for a sedated shave down. She tolerated the procedure well and is already so much happier. Maggie is a yorkie mix. She is roughly 2 years old and weighs just over 4 pounds. She is definitely under weight and will need to gain to a healthy weight of about 6 or 7 pounds. It is obvious she has been on her own a while. She is super sweet, loves to cuddle and her house manners have been great so far. She is enjoying several small meals a day and lots of cuddle time while she recovers from her shelter stay and stray experience.
She will need to complete her vetting and have her spay once she is healthy enough to undergo surgery. Once she is healed she will be ready for adoption. We hope to have her ready for adoption by mid April with the help of our vets and her foster family.
