Update 3/25/2026: Jameson has made HUGE strides during his first week in foster care! It’s amazing how dogs respond to structure and patience. Jameson is now integrated into the pack with his foster siblings. He is well on his way to being house trained and his leash skills are progressing nicely. We can’t get over the transformation in him in only a week.

He does have separation anxiety BUT it is manageable. He is still not a good choice for apartment living but a home with a fenced yard and someone at home during the day to walk him would be ideal. He spends time with the pack when foster mom is away for short periods of time and he is learning that foster mom returns and takes him for a walk or plays with him upon return. Thankfully he is young enough to retrain. He will most likely always be nervous but he is absolutely making strides in the right direction.

Apply now and take this lovable boy home!

Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, Jameson arrives with lots of love to give. He’s a 10 pound, 5 month old Morkie (mix). He is sweet but VERY confused.  As expected, he is anxious. He is trying to understand where he is and why!

Jameson is currently living with 3 (small) foster siblings. He wants to jump and play all day on the resident dogs. He is taking well to the leash and working on his potty manners! He was groomed Wednesday, March 18th and neutered on Thursday, March 19th. He is up to to date on all vaccines, is microchipped. He is ready to be your bestest little buddy!

As you can expect he is already popular. We are receiving a lot of calls and emails about him. Please understand, we will need to determine what he needs in a home before we make any decisions. Jameson is our first priority. He will need extra time and time to work transition to foster care, then again in his forever home. He is not a good fit for an apartment at the present.

So far we know he will need:

  • an active home to give him plenty of walks and sniffari's
  • someone who works from home or an active retired person would be ideal
  • someone familiar with small dogs and their energy
  • completion of a training course for obedience/manners within 6 months from adoption date
  • a fenced yard will be a plus on your application
  • someone willing to give him the time and space to adapt

Jameson is a very sweet little boy but he has not been given the tools he needs to be a confident little boy in a big world. His training begins today with his foster mom! While she is no professional, she has fostered over 60+ dogs and helped them begin their training journey. So far he is doing well. He is working on his house manners and leash walking.

We will will give him the time and attention he needs to succeed.
