Meet Sammie! Sammie is a 7 year old, 8 pound, rat terrier mix. He was surrendered by his owner to the rescue because she could no longer care for him due to health issues.
Sammie is a little confused but making foster friends and enjoying the fenced yard in his foster home. He even came to foster mom for chin scratches this morning.
He has only lived with an older lady. He will need time to warm up to gentlemen. They will need to take it slow. He does take a little bit to trust new people. But his whole world has been turned upside down. We understand he needs time to adjust and we will allow him the time he needs to find the right home for him.
A quiet home with consistent care and a fenced yard will suit him best. He LOVES being outside.
Sammie has been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested and brought up to date on the required vaccines. He is ready to be adopted in the next week after he heals. He’s a sweet little guy!
