Meet Stella Parton — Tiny but Mighty! 💕🐾
“I've had a rough week, first losing my human sister Dolly, and then my home! But things are starting to look up since CCR welcomed me in!”
I’m a 9-year-old Yorkie girl who may be tiny at a mere 8 pounds, but I have the activity level and enthusiasm of a puppy – in spurts of course! I have a serious case of FOMO — if something is happening, I absolutely need to know about it. I’m curious, confident, and determined to investigate everything around me. Maybe I’m just getting used to my new environment, but my fosters have a feeling I’m going to be very good at keeping tabs on my people! By the way, standard stairs are quite a climb for me, but I navigate them like a boss - I'm not sure why my fosters giggle watching me from behind?!?!
My foster mom says I walk really well on a leash, and I’m already showing some promising house manners. In fact, I pee immediately when I see grass, so she’s hopeful that I’m already housebroken. Fingers crossed! I do have a voice and will let you know when I have an opinion - especially when I hear an unusual noise, my foster siblings start barking or - can you believe - my foster humans have the nerve to put me in my play area while they leave the room! Did I say FOMO? Clearly, I have important things to say. And really, can you blame me? A girl needs to keep her family informed!
I also have a very good appetite and have settled right in at my foster home. I’m not intimidated by my foster siblings, even when they’re twice my size. I know, I know, at 8lbs, it's very relative! But I have confidence to spare, and I’m happy to coexist with the “big” dogs.
Well, I also had my big vet day since coming to CCR, and guess what?! I’m officially healthy and ready to roll! My bloodwork looked great, my pearly whites got a nice cleaning, and I’m already spayed — so the vet gave me the all-clear! I was very brave, of course (although I may have made sure everyone knew I was there 😜). Now that I’ve checked the “healthy pup” box, all that’s left is finding my very own forever family! Could that be you?!?!
