Welcome Baxter! He may be part spitz, part long hair chihuahua maybe even Pomeranian and border collie mix ... who knows? While we may not know his breed, we DO know he is one sweet, handsome dude! He is roughly 8 years (older adult) old and weighs about 25 pounds but should weigh a few pounds less and we are working to help him loose those pounds. He is really laid back and looking for a quiet home. He is shy at first but does warm up once a routine is established. He enjoys a daily routine that includes walking, fetch and a good afternoon nap.
We have discovered he is not as cat friendly as we thought. For this reason we will not place him in a home with a cat. He walks well on a lead. He is crate trained and has great potty manners. He loves to sit at your feet in the evening as you read or watch TV. He loves attention, would like a fenced yard and plenty of places to catch an afternoon snooze! Baxter also enjoys the company of other dogs as well. His current foster mom takes him on hikes with other dog owners and he has a great time.
Baxter is a fairly reserved and serious dog. He is loving and does like to play but also will just sit quietly with you! He’s a really great little dude!
Baxter is up to date on vaccines, neutered and ready for his furever home!
