Daphne has just arrived in rescue. She is a 7 year old, 6.5 pound poodle. She is very sweet and a bit shy. She was a raised as a breeder dog and lived in a shed with another male pup. She startles easily but does crave human touch and interaction. She likes to follow fosgter mom around the house throughout the day.
Daphne is working on her potty manners and leash walking. Most breeder dogs we receive in rescue do not possess these skills at first. It takes time and patience to teach them. Before arriving in our rescue, her only job was to make babies. Well, all that is behind her now. She will become a beloved pet for a new family as soon as she is ready for adoption.
Daphne is scheduled to have a dental next week and then a spay. It is possible she will lose many teeth due to the lack of dental care over the years. Once she is healed from her surgeries, she will be ready for adoption.
