Henry is new in rescue. He is 3-5 years old and weighs 23 pounds. He has been the perfect house guest so far. He is adjusting to his foster siblings; while he is friendly to them, he is a little unsure of them. (4 yorkies and a poodle mix) He enjoys walking, playing with toys and sitting with his person. Henry is a true gem. Check out his video in the photos! He struts that schnauzer strut! He is definitely a great dog and will make a wonderful addition to any home.
Henry will need an active family who enjoys walking. A fenced yard would be icing on the cake for this guy. He loves to chase squirrels and critters and a fenced yard would make that activity possible! Henry has a high prey drive and is very strong. While his leash skills are improving, his impulse control leaves something to be desired. He a terrier after all! It will take someone strong who can handle him on a walk until he masters his impulse to chase critters. Henry is a Velcro dog and doesn’t enjoy being left alone. He has been observed to howl when foster mom leaves to run an errand or to walk other foster siblings. Henry enjoys being with his person and will lean in hard when relaxing on the couch. Foster mom loves his lean and enjoys reading and snuggling with Henry!
Henry will be groomed on 2/13 and see the vet on 2/14. We will post more about Henry on or social media channels as we get to know him.
