Izzy is a recent arrival to the world of rescue. He is a small Yorkie mix, estimated to be around five years old and weighing approximately fifteen pounds. This little gentleman is incredibly sweet and already walks nicely on a leash. One of his favorite things is playing with squeaky toys, and he is especially food motivated. Because of his enthusiasm at mealtimes, Izzy does best when fed separately.
While it is uncertain whether Izzy has previously lived with other dogs, he gets along just fine with the resident foster sibling and as an added bonus, he likes dog friendly cats! Izzy would be perfectly content as the only dog in the home, especially if he has all the toys to himself. In addition, he loves cats and is friendly with toddlers, making him a wonderful candidate for a family companion.
Izzy has experienced some skin allergies in the past, but his hair is growing back beautifully and he looks absolutely adorable. He enjoys both baths and a good brushing, making grooming time a positive experience for him.
Izzy has good potty manners overall. He may have an accident when transitioning to a new environment, but once he becomes familiar with the routine, he adapts well and maintains good habits.
Izzy is now fully prepared for adoption. He has received comprehensive veterinary care, is microchipped, and has had a dental procedure to complete his medical needs.
