KayCee is new in rescue. She is an 18 pound multiple/bichon type small mixed breed female pup. She is very friendly and makes friends everywhere she goes! She is respectful of the two senior resident dogs in her foster home, walks well on leash and is very sweet. She was surrendered due to us because her former owner was in an assisted living and KayCee was not thriving in this environment Kaycee is a young, active dog. She needs exercise, attention, and consistency. She is vocal when strangers whether but quiet a down appropriately once introduced. She is working on potty manners and crate training. She walks nicely on leash.
KayCee does have some health issues which need addressing. She has had several GI issues which could be stress related to stress as well as dry eye. She has seen the vet for a check up and to update vaccines. She is already spayed and microchipped. She will see the eye specialist next week.
She has several eye drops and will need continuing therapy for now. Once seen by the specialist for follow up we will know more but it’s likely she will need eyedrops for her lifetime. She may also need prescription food for GI issues. But we will not know until we get to know her better.
