Lexie, also known by her Elf name - Sprinkles, is new in rescue. She is an almost 6 year old Shih Tzu who weighs 13 pounds. She is new to rescue so we are just beginning to see her personality emerge. She was a breeder dog from Pennsylvania so she is learning how to be a pet. Lexie eats well and sleeps through the night. She was just spayed so she is taking it easy for a couple of weeks. She was shaved down when she came into rescue but we are sure that she will have a beautiful coat once her hair begins to grow longer. Lexie will need to learn how to walk on a leash. She shows some interest in toys. We haven’t determined if she is house trained yet but so far no accidents. Read about the the Shih Tzu breed here
