Lucky is new in rescue. She is an 8/9 month old Schnauzer/Poodle mix. She is friendly despite the hell she has endured. She is being fostered with another female dog and seems interested and is friendly toward her. She is not afraid of people though she should be. She came to us through a vets office in Virginia Beach. She was severely matted, had a horrible skin infection and wounds underneath her coat of matted hair. She was anesthetized for a shave down so she is a little naked right now. But, she feels sooooooo much better than she did. The person who brought her in did not have the funds to help her but she wanted to get her out of a bad situation and brought her to the vet. Thank goodness she did! The matted hair was beginning to strangulate Lucky’s leg. If the vet had not shaved her down serious damage could have occurred to her leg.
Today, Lucky is being fostered in a quiet home where she is getting the love, care and attention she needs and deserves! She sees the vet 3/7/2024 and when she is ready for surgery, she will have her spay. Once healed she will be ready for her new home.
Lucky will need an active family who can help can give her plenty of love and attention. She will require training classes for adoption. She would love a fenced yard and possibly a friend or some human siblings to thrive!
