Milo is new in rescue. He is 5 years old and weighs about 10 pounds. He needs to gain a pound or two though. He was surrendered to us because his owner was moving. He is very confused and anxious. We have consulted with our vet and he has been prescribed some medication to help get him through the transition. He may or may not need to stay on the medication post adoption. Right now his whole world had been turned upside down and we want him to settle in without any more anxiety.
Milo has had no training. He needs to learn to walk on a lead and, he is currently working on his potty manners. He is very smart and foster mom says he is learning from his foster siblings. He gets along with the foster siblings but has not engaged in play with them, but it’s early.
Milo will need a new owner who is experienced with small, anxious dogs. He needs a strong pack leader he can follow. He needs to build confidence as well. He needs to have someone home most of the time. We don’t want him feeling abandoned any more.
If you are an experienced small dog/Yorkie owner, have the time and want to give him the life he never had, apply to adopt this sweet boy. Let’s give him the life he deserves.
