Peggy will need a fenced yard and would prefer the company of another small dog for her adoption.

UPDATE 7/29/2022: Peggy will have her surgery the week of Aug 1st. She will then need time to recover. Once recovered, she will be ready for her forever home.  Please keep watching her page and our social media channels for photos and updates on her progression.

INTAKE: Peggy is a very sweet little yorkie looking for her furever home.   A Good Samaritan noticed she was lame and brought her into the shelter to find her owner and get her help after finding her in their garage.  The owner could not be located and she now our care.  Her fracture is old and cannot be mended unfortunately; therefore, she will need an amputation to prevent further joint damage to the rest of her body. Currently she is suffering hip issues from standing on her hind legs too much.  But, there is good news.  She is now getting the care she deserves.
