Rudy is new in rescue. He is a small mixed breed (possibly shih tzu/lhasa mix). He is friendly and doesn't mind other small dogs. Rudy was a stray and had severe matting. He was shaved down to alleviate the matted fur. He is currently under weight and will need several meals per day to gain about 5 - 8 pounds to return to a normal weight.
He saw the vet Tuesday (12/13/2022) for a check up and immunizations, and had a cardiac consult for a heart murmur on 12/29/22. He was cleared for cataract surgery and taken off the medications for his heart. He does not need to return for a heart check up for a year! This is wonderful news!
We are so happy we can help him regain his sight by removing the cataracts.
