Meet Simba! He is a two year-old, 15 pound, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel – Bichon mix. He walks nicely on leash and is working on his potty manners. He will use a pee pad to do his business but he prefers to potty outside. He was a little skittish at first as you can imagine. He was scared and confused when he entered foster care. His family surrendered him because they are moving and cannot take him along. But, he has settled nicely into foster moms home and routine. He is a happy, energetic little boy who loves to run and play with the resident puppy in the home. He is crate trained for sleep and when foster mom leaves the house. He is still all puppy and needs a safe place to rest while she is out of the house.
Simba was a good boy for his bath and did not mind being brushed. He will need professional grooming to maintain his coat every 4-6 weeks as well as frequent baths/brushing.
Simba seems to love everyone and everything. He has lived with elementary school aged children and would enjoy a friend in his new home. The ideal home would be an active family with a social, playful dog and/or children/grandchildren who visit often. He loves playing with children and dogs!
Simba is ready for adoption. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
**Simba will require formal training to finalize his adoption but you will have 6 months to complete his training.
