Simba is new in rescue….like 24 hours new! Simba is a two year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel – bichon mix and weighs about 15 pounds. He walks nicely on leash and is working on his potty manners. He is a little skittish as you can imagine. His family surrendered him because they are moving and cannot take him along. He has lived with elementary school age children and would probably enjoy a friend in his new home. His whole world is upside down but he seems to be taking it in stride.
Simba is a very sweet boy. It did not take him long to unwind and settle in with his temporary foster family. He was neutered today, November 18, and will then fly to his foster home on Friday, November 21, in Vienna, VA thanks to our friends at Pilots N Paws!
Simba will require formal training to finalize his adoption. He will also need professional grooming to maintain his coat.
