Vernon aka Vern is a small breed mix possibly Lhasa Apso and Shih Tzu. He weighs about 19 pounds. We don’t know his exact age. He is definitely a senior but he has some spunk. He will be seen by the vet for vaccines and to be neutered then he will be ready for adoption.

UPDATE 11/8/22: Vern is back in rescue through no fault of his own. He was having difficulty with the steps at his adoptive home and it was causing possible spinal issues because he has a long torso. He will see a neurologist this week to see if we can assist him. After the consult he will be available for adoption to a home with no steps or to a family who can carry him up and down the steps.
UPDATE 12/12/22: Vern has been neutered and is UTD on his vaccines. He is sweet, loving and calm. Vern does take an inexpensive medication daily, and he needs a home where he will not need to navigate stairs. His ideal home would be one where he can get some snuggles and a little bit of play time. He sleeps through the night, and loves a good nap. Vern is hanging out with his foster family in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
