Winkie is new to the rescue. He was surrendered because his owner could not afford his medical care (eye surgery). Our rescue went into action immediately! Foster mom drove to get him on Wednesday afternoon and took him straight to the vet. We had an exam and vaccines updated. We left the vet with plans for surgery the next morning. Winkie had surgery to remove his injured eye on Thursday morning and is now recovering without issue. He’s such a trooper! He will need to be neutered but is otherwise ready for adoption.
