Yoshi is a sweet, senior who was dumped at the shelter by his family when they no longer wanted to care for him any longer. He is estimated to be 15 but he seems much younger. He’s a spunky little guy. He weighs about 17 pounds and we believe he is a long hair chihuahua/mix. We can’t say for sure what his breed is, but he has a body style like a corgi, but smaller . So far he is super sweet and VERY happy to be out of the shelter! His potty manners have been wonderful and he sleeps through the night. He is just a joy to foster. He could stand to lose a little weight. We will work on portion control and exercise to help him regain his youthful figure even though bikini season is almost over. More to come as we get to know him better.
Please consider giving this sweet boy a home! He deserves more than he was given.
UPDATE 9/12/24: Yoshi was seen by the vet and we now believe he is less than 15 years old. The vet believes he is older than 10 though. We are going to settle on 12 years old as a happy medium. He enjoys walking and walks well on lead. He is energetic and enjoys squeaky toys. He is a gem! Don't let this guy pass you buy.
Yoshi enjoys taking his 1/2 mile walks 3 times a day. He gets the zoomies in the evenings and loves meeting new people and other dogs. We really do not believe this dog is 15. He acts much younger. We sure do wish dogs could talk! Then we would know. All we know for sure is that he is one cool dude!
